Word-weaving as art
Word-weaving takes endless forms: like the loom it has many colours, materials, and creates things for so many different purposes. Much of my word weaving is for the purposes of change: but there is beauty in its creative flow, too. Here are some examples of how I showcase this.
Song
I have sung for as long as I can remember: it feels natural to me, like breathing. I had classical singing lessons at school and have been described as a lyric mezzo-soprano - but these days I tend to sing just for the enjoyment of it and as devotion to my Goddess. You can hear just a little snippet of my singing, a cover of 'Fruitmother' by Carolyn Hillyer, through the video below. I have a versatile range and warm tone and it tends to just be me, my raw voice and my drum (with the occasional flute interlude) often in the woods or a ritual somewhere!

Poetry
Here is a reading of my poem 'Sparkler' that I performed for a ritual on the dark moon welcoming in the spring equinox and therefore the season of fire.

I have written poetry in some form in a few different ways over the years but in the last few months, inspiration has been explosive and I've now got a full manuscript of an anthology which is being sent off to publishers.
